The stars, as in celebrities, were definitely aligned at the Los Angeles premiere of the Michael Jackson biopic Michael on Monday. One celeb who is always red-carpet-ready was Vivica A. Fox, who wore an off-the-shoulder dress designed by Mary Katrantzou, and auburn side-swept hair styled in loose waves. We spoke with the actress and director to ask about her takeaway from the film.
“The Hollywood premiere of ‘Michael’ was EPIC! A MAGICAL nite with a star-studded red carpet, amazing fashions & fun!” says Fox.

Other celebs in attendance included the stars of the film, Coleman Domingo (Joe Jackson), Nia Long (Katherine Jackson), and the man of the hour, Jaafar Jackson, who, as the nephew of the late King of Pop, portrays Michael Jackson. Everyone from Usher, Larenz Tate (who plays Quincy Jones in the film), Evan Ross, Magic Johnson, Lela Rochon, Martin Lawrence, Stephen A. Smith, Deon Cole, Bill Bellamy, Raven-Symoné, Chance the Rapper, and legendary music producers Jimy Jam and Terry Lewis were just a few of the faces there to support this iconic time in world music history—along with Michaels’ siblings Jackie, La Toya, Marlon, and Jermaine Jackson.
Fox says of the celebration, “Michael, the film is a MUST SEE!” Giving it five stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Michael was held at The Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on April 20, 2026, before the film’s U.S. release on April 24
