Vanessa Bryant called out rapper Meek Mill for a reference to Kobe Bryant.

Vanessa Bryant called out Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill for a distasteful reference to her late husband, Kobe Bryant. In his latest leaked song, “Don’t Worry (RIP Kobe),” Meek Mill raps,

“If I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”

On Tuesday, the verse caught Vanessa’s attention, and she took to her Instagram to share her thoughts.

“Dear @meekmill, I find this line to be extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” she wrote. “I am not familiar with any of your music, but I believe you can do better than this. If you are a fan, fine, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband. This lacks respect and tact.”

In January of last year, the basketball legend died in a tragic helicopter crash along with his 13-year-old daughter and seven other passengers.

Meek Mill responded to fans via Twitter to ensure that he has reached out to Vanessa privately to apologize.

“Nothing I say on my page directed to a internet viral moment or the family of a grieving woman!” he tweeted. “If you care about someone grieving change the subject!”
