Letitia Wright Injured on Set of 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'

Actress Leticia Wright sustained minor injuries in Boston while on the set of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”

“Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon,” said a Marvel spokesperson on Wednesday.

Details of the injury were not disclosed, but Wright was able to leave the hospital after a few hours.

The actress’ injuries were minor and will not affect the filming schedule.

Wright will be reprising her role of Shuri for the upcoming “Black Panther” sequel, which will also star Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, Lupita Nyong’o, Florence Kasumba, and Angela Bassett. Ryan Coogler returns as director.

It was announced that the late Chadwick Boseman would not be replaced as T’Challa, so fans are eager to see this film’s direction.

Since June, filming has taken place in Atlanta and Boston and has a release date of July 8, 2022.
