Jay-Z and Beyoncé Partner With Tiffany & Co. To Award Scholarships to HBCUs

It was recently announced that Jay-Z and Beyoncé would partner with Tiffany & Co. and provide scholarships to five historically Black colleges and universities.

The couple recently appeared on Tiffany & Co.’s “About Love” campaign and agreed to partner with them for their Love Scholarship through BeyGOOD and the Shawn Carter Foundation.

Tiffany & Co. pledges $2 million in scholarship funding for five different HBCUs, specifically for students pursuing a degree in the arts and creative fields.

One of those five HBCUs was Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, which thanked BeyGOOD, the Shawn Carter Foundation, and Tiffany & Co.

“We would like to thank the Shawn Carter Foundation, BeyGOOD, The Carters, and the Tiffany & Co. family for including Lincoln University in this amazing gift. Lincoln has placed a high priority on supporting the arts and humanities on our campus. Providing financial support for students pursuing these majors enhances their ability to more fully engage their studies,” said Dr. Brenda A. Allen, president of Lincoln University in a statement.

The other four HBCUs to receive these scholarships are Norfolk State University in Virginia, Bennett College in North Carolina, the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, and Central State University in Ohio.

The couple is known for working with HBCUs, awarding scholarships as well as hosting an HBCU bus tour in 2019.
