Bruce Willis is Stepping Away From Acting After Aphasia Diagnosis

Bruce Willis’ family recently announced that the actor will be stepping away from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia.

The news comes just weeks after the actor celebrated his 67th birthday.

Aphasia is a language disorder that affects a person’s cognitive abilities and can be caused by a head injury, stroke, or brain tumor.

The “Die Hard” actor’s daughter Rumer made a post on her Instagram sharing the news with her father’s fans.

Alongside a picture of Bruce, Rumer shared a caption that read, “To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities. As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

“This is a really challenging time for our family and we are so appreciative of your continued love, compassion and support,” she said.

She concluded her post by saying, “As Bruce always says, “Live it up” and together we plan to do just that.”

Willis’ other children, wife Emma, and ex-wife Demi Moore also shared the same post on their Instagram accounts.
