Sarah Jessica Parker Receives Backlash for Looking Older in Sex and the City Revival

Sarah Jessica Parker has been a hot topic of discussion lately.  Unfortunately, it isn’t because of her performance in the “Sex and the City” revival, but rather for her looks in the show.

The 56-year-old actress revealed that she has received heavy criticism for her appearance in “And Just Like That.”

Many fans of “Sex and the City” judged Parker for portraying Carrie with gray hair.

“There’s so much misogynist chatter in response to us that would never. Happen. About. A. Man,” she told Vogue while clapping after every word.

“Gray hair, gray hair, gray hair. Does she have gray hair?” said Parker. “Why is it OK for him? I don’t know what to tell you people!” she added, emphasizing the misogynistic nature of those criticisms.

She added that people on social media have been especially harsh on her look.

“Everyone has something to say,” she said. “It almost feels as if people don’t want us to be perfectly OK with where we are, as if they almost enjoy us being pained by who we are today, whether we choose to age naturally and not look perfect, or whether you do something if that makes you feel better,” she added.

Despite the judgment, Parker continues to work hard to reprise her role as Carrie Bradshaw and deliver a great performance.

And Just Like That” will air on HBO Max in December and will focus on Carrie’s life in her 50s.
