Five years after rescinding her divorce petition Alvina Anderson, actor Anthony Anderson’s wife, is once again filing for divorce.

Alvina previously filed for divorce in 2015 citing irreconcilable differences but rescinded the petition in 2017.

Now, Anthony Anderson is responding to the divorce request.

PEOPLE obtained court documents in which the 51-year-old actor requested a dissolution of marriage, listing February 25th as the date of separation and irreconcilable differences as the cause.

The couple has been married for 22 years and has two children: Kyra, 26, and Nathan, 22.

Anderson will be giving Alvina spousal support, but said he would like the amount to be saved for “future determination.”

He has also requested that they each pay for their own attorney’s fees.

Anderson is currently uncertain about “the exact nature and extent of separate property assets and obligations,” and said that he “reserves the right to amend this response when same is ascertained.”

In Alvina’s divorce filing, she cited the dated of separation as “TBD” and had requested Anderson pay her attorney’s fees.

She also requested that all property acquired through their marriage be treated as “community” property and be divided between the two.

Items that were listed as separate property include “all gifts and inheritance, all assets, earnings, accumulations, and debts” that she acquired before marriage.

The couple were high school sweethearts married on their 10-year-anniversary in 1999 and were married for a total of 22 years.
