Alicia Keys, 39, sings”Lift Every Voice and Sing” at the first game of the NFL season between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Houston Texans.

Keys, wearing a black and white ensemble including a black hat, beautifully sang as images of black Americans, NFL players kneeling and locking arms on the field, and the “Black Lives” movement/ protest played out in the video.

The video narrated by Anthony Mackie is a painful reminder of how “black Americans faced a different reality, a nation separate and unequal.”

A moment of unity for racial injustice was inspired by Chiefs QB, Patrick Mahomes, and Texans QB, Deshaun Watson. R&B duo Chloe x Halle performed the national anthem. #NFL #Football #AmericanFootball
