Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer and Regina Hall Set to Host the Oscars

After the Oscar nominees were listed, the task of announcing the winners goes to Wanda Sykes, Amy Schumer, and Regina Hall.

The hosts were announced during Tuesday’s “Good Morning America” telecast.

“Good morning America I’m not sure who thought this was a good idea, but I am hosting the Oscars along with my good friends Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall,” said Schumer in a video shown on Tuesday mornings telecast. “I better go watch some movies,” she joked.

This will be the first time in Oscars’ history where three women will host the show, although the show has had multiple hosts before.

The last time the Oscars has multiple hosts was in 2011 when James Franco and Anne Hathaway were chosen to host.

The last time the Oscars had three hosts was in 1987, when Chevy Chase, Goldie Hawn, and Paul Hogan teamed up.

Since 2019, the Oscars were hostless, so the 94th Academy Awards will be the first in three years to have hosts.

All three hosts have previous hosting experience. Schumer with hosting the 2015 MTV Movie Awards, Hall with hosting the 2019 BET Awards, and most experienced of all Skyes with hosting her own talk show, the 29th Annual GLAAD Media Awards, and guest hosting for Jimmy Kimmel and Ellen DeGeneres.

The Oscars will be held on March 27th and will be aired on ABC.
