When you work hard and put you all into a project, you want to see the fruits of your labor.
One artist has been battling with claiming what is owed to her, and now she is taking the reins full force.
Taylor Swift, best known for her hit songs like “Love Story”, is hoping to reclaim what is rightfully hers: gaining control of her masters.
Swift has been in battle with her former label about her rights to her masters, and subsequently has decided to re-record and release her original songs and albums.
The first album to be re-recorded and released is “Fearless: Taylor’s Version” which is set to be released on Friday, April 9th.
The 11-time Grammy Award winning singers’ fans, affectionately known as ‘Swifties’, have been on the frontlines of this battle, providing their support in numerous ways.
More recently, Swift’s fans have been coming together to get the original version of “Fearless” removed from major streaming platforms such as Spotify.
In February, Swift re-recorded her song “Love Story”, which now has over 20 million views on YouTube.
The re-release of her new album is highly anticipated and is already gaining views and streams.
Best of luck and well-wishes to Taylor Swift on her continued success.
