Tabitha Brown recently announced that she could finally help her husband, Chance Brown, retire from the LAPD.
The actress posted a video announcing her husband’s retirement and that she was now able to help him with that. She spoke about the promise she made to him years ago and wanted to celebrate that their dream finally came true.
Although many people celebrated with them and gave them many congratulations, Wendy Williams was not one of those people.
Williams mentioned Tabitha’s news in a recent episode of The Wendy Williams Show during her Hot Topics segment. She compared Chance Brown to her ex-husband Kevin Hunter who she was married to for 22 years.
“I was married to one of those. ‘I make the money!’ and so on and so forth. ‘Go live your dreams! Open a business! Go, go, go!’ See how that turned out,” she said.
“No, you work! Being a cop was a big part of his identity, he liked it but she came to him and said that,” Williams went on.
When the news of Williams’s criticisms made it to Tabitha, she decided to make a response video on IGTV where she kindly told Williams that Chance is not like Kevin Hunter.
“Wendy the pain you must be in to feel this way, honey, I’m so sorry. But listen, let me tell you this. Twenty-three years I’ve been with my husband, broke for a very long time together. Struggled for a very long time together. Succeeded for the last couple of years together,” she said.
She added once again, that helping Chance retire was a plan and promise they made years ago, and that she did so so he could pursue his own dreams. In the video, she told Williams that Chance will continue to coach children and build up his nonprofit organization now that he’s retired.
Tabitha ended her video by sending a kind message and praying for Williams.
“I pray that someone will love you enough to see you when you are not well, to see when you need true support, to see you when you need compassion, to see you when you need kindness. I pray that somebody loves you enough to sacrifice their life for you. I pray that type of love finds you so that you can understand why I don’t want my husband to put his life on the line anymore, wearing a bulletproof vest if he don’t have to, and if it’s not his desire,” she says in the video.
“I pray that somebody finds you, love finds you that excites you the way I’m excited for my husband to grow his business, pour into children and coach these kids and do other things he’s dreamt about,” she added.
