Fans are getting ready to giddy on up with Regina King and Idris Elba upon the release of the trailer for the Netflix original film The Harder They Fall.

The film will feature a star-studded cast which includes King, Elba, Lakeith Stanfield, Jonathan Majors, Delroy Lindo, and Zazie Beetz. The actors will portray a gang of feuding, gun-slinging bandits in this action-packed modern western.

In the film, Nat Love (Majors) seeks revenge with the help of his gang after hearing his enemy and villain Rufus Black (Elba) is being released from jail. The twist is, Love isn’t the only one who’s gathered up his gang of bandits. The newly released trailer teases that this film will be full of horse-riding, gun-slinging showdown action. 

This film will be Jeymes Samuel’s feature film debut, previously known for directing the short film They Die By Dawn in 2013.  When speaking to Shadow and Act about creating a western film featuring a predominantly black cast, Samuel said, “I just grew up wanting to know more about people of color and women and all of these ideas of the Old West that I was not getting from the Hollywood movies.”

Although the film still has no official release date, it is expected to debut on Netflix and in a limited theater release this fall.
