‘Tis the season to be jolly, where another Christmas has come and gone. This one: maybe more significant than others because it is the last one of this decade.
Could be you chose to take a trip or visit family and friends or decided to spend a quiet day alone with a good book and takeout. You like, your favorite celebrity probably shared your goodwill on social media to show how you are helping others this holiday season. We noticed a few good samaritans ourselves here.
Will Smith shared a video of himself and @worldsbigsleepout on Instagram where a couple of weeks ago, the organization got together 60,000 people who huddled in Times Square and in cities around the world to call an end to homelessness. “It shined a light in a big way, highlighting that when kindness and action meet, we can be a powerful force for change. The human family is the one family that connects us all. Take care of each other. Merry Christmas,” wrote the actor.
Actors and close pals, Kevin Hart and The Rock, delivered gifts to fans this season inside a movie theater. Hart wearing a Santa Claus suit and The Rock in elf attire surprised movie-goers. The comedian took to Instagram to share his thoughts about brightening up people’s day. “I swear I love doing stuff like this, The smiles and reactions from the people in that theater were priceless…Major thank you to everybody that helped make this possible.”
The apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Jaden Smith is following in his dad’s footsteps helping the less fortunate. The rapper (sometimes actor) turned philanthropist donates more than clean water to Flint, Michigan. He thanked @fender for helping to provide guitars to the kids at @sbevflint. “It Means The World,” wrote Smith on Instagram.
However you spent Christmas day, we hope it was in the spirit of giving to others including yourself. Nothing rings in the holiday season like good cheer from the inside and out.
