The most anticipated Marvel film is here! After being delayed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Natasha Romanoff’s (Scarlett Johansson) finally getting her time on the big screen.
The third trailer previously released surpassed numbers for subsequent trailers such as Black Panther (48 million) and Ant-Man and the Wasp (52 million), as well as outpacing first-look trailers for WandaVision (53 million), Loki (36 million), and Falcon and The Winter Soldier (20.3 million).
In the trailer, Natasha Romanoff, aka Black Widow, confronts her ledger’s darker parts when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.
Directed by Cate Shortland, Black Widow is the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It takes place between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Black Widow hits Disney+ and theaters simultaneously on July 9.
