Black-ish Third Spinoff? Jenifer Lewis And Laurence Fishburne To Star In “Old-ish”

ABC is developing a Black-ish Spinoff “Old-ish,” Starring Jenifer Lewis and Laurence Fishburne, the Johnson family’s matriarch and patriarch.

The popular sitcom Black-ish, created by Kenya Barris, premiered on September 24, 2014. It stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross, Yara Shahidi, Marcus Scribner, Marsai Marti, and Miles Brown. It has produced two successful spinoffs, “Grown-ish starring Yara Shahidi (Zoey Johnson) and Mix-ish, which depicts the early life of Rainbow “Bow” Johnson, played by Arica Himmel.

Black-ish cast — ABC’s “black-ish” stars, Yara Shahidi as Zoey Johnson, Marcus Scribner as Andre Johnson, Jr., Jenifer Lewis as Ruby Johnson, Austin and Berlin Gross as Devonte Johnson, Laurence Fishburne as Pops Johnson, Marsai Martin as Diane Johnson, Tracee Ellis Ross as Rainbow Johnson, Anthony Anderson as Andre “Dre” Johnson, and Miles Brown as Jack Johnson.

Black-ish season 6 finale (Love Boat) saw Pops ( Laurence Fishburne) and Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) sailing off into the sunset after rekindling their often dysfunctional but endearing love for one another to live out their golden years.

Season 7 of Black-ish (Election Special) parts 1 and 2 will air on October 4. Check your local listings.
