Beyoncé introduced Cécred to the world in February 2024, unveiling a collection combining science-backed formulas with rich haircare traditions. She is familiar with this, as her mother, Tina Knowles, is a hairstylist and owned a salon in Houston, Texas, during Beyoncé’s childhood. The initial launch featured various products designed for cleansing, conditioning, and strengthening all hair types, including a Clarifying Shampoo, Moisturizing Deep Conditioner, and Nourishing Hair Oil. The best-selling Fermented Rice & Rose Protein Ritual, which helps repair and strengthen strands, quickly became a fan favorite.

Cécred’s upcoming arrival at Ulta Beauty marks a notable victory in the haircare space for the singer-songwriter and beauty enthusiast, especially amidst the DEI rollbacks from major retailers like Target and Walmart. With the announcement during Black History Month, it’s exciting that the haircare brand will also be available at Ulta, as it was sold only on its website.
