Houston Rockets, Seasoned Attorney and Radio Boss Bring Holiday Cheer to 20 Houston Families

Christmas is the time of year when those who have—(have it) — and those who don’t can be forgotten during one of the Most Happiest Times of the Year. But not in the city of Houston, and with seasoned attorney Justin Martin, who, with radio boss Kiotti and the Houston Rockets hosted, brought Meals, Gifts & Holiday Cheer to 20 Houston Families— this month through their annual “Christmas With Kiotti.”

We recently spoke with the community advocate to ask, “How does hosting multiple families each holiday season with ‘Christmas With Kiotti’ speak to the spirit of giving to bring joy into the hearts of the community? And what ‘overflow’ from what you do for Houstonians do you want for others to pay it forward?

“This was an amazing giveaway, Christmas With Kiotti, which we’ve done now for a number of years. It means a lot to all of us, everybody at Get Justin, Kiotti’s team, the folks at 93.7. We’re giving away to families, and despite what some people may think, families go through these types of ruts. We call it a loss of momentum. Sometimes, our ability to share with these families is not a handout but a handup. It’s a momentum changer, a momentum shift for them,” says Attorney Justin. “And if you are a sports fan, you know that if your team gets behind, sometimes it’s not because they’re underperforming or poorly coached, or not putting in effort, sometimes it has to do with momentum, and you just need one small win to get that momentum back, and that’s why we do Christmas With Kiotti because we give these hardworking Houston families a shot at getting their momentum back, which is important to us. And so, I’m blessed (my team). We all feel blessed to be able to participate with Kiotti and his folks and give back to the good families of Houston who are working hard to make Christmas special. We’re blessed.”

He hosted 20 families at Cali Kitchen to which he gifted each family with a $500 Visa gift card and a $200 HEB gift card (a local grocery chain). Each family also had the opportunity to win exclusive prizes as well including floor seats to a Rockets Basketball game.
