Katy Perry celebrated her daughter’s first birthday on August 26 and decided to share a sweet message on her Twitter.

On Thursday, the singer tweeted in honor of her daughter Daisy Dove’s birthday.

The tweet read, “1 year ago today is the day my life began… Happy first Birthday my Daisy Dove, my love.”

Perry shares her daughter with fiancé Orlando Bloom, and they’ve kept their baby girl out of the media spotlight, only posting a picture of her hand when she was born.

Despite not putting her daughter in the spotlight, Perry has opened up about her milestones and motherhood in previous interviews.

In May, she told Ryan Seacrest that Daisy Dove was “crawling and she has one tooth.”

She also joked that her daughter’s teeth were a bit like hers, saying, “Actually it’s kind of like one of my teeth. I have pretty good teeth on the top but if you were to actually see my bottom teeth, they’re a little interesting, but I think that’s character!”

On L’Officiel’s Summer 2021 issue, she also opened up about her initial fear of becoming a mother.

She explained that she felt “nervous to be a mom” but went through a journey of healing to resolve that fear.

“It was amazing to live big and wild, but sometimes it’s nice just to throw the ball on the grass and watch your daughter laugh from the simple joys of the dog coming and bringing it back,” said Perry.
