Vanessa Bryant Says 'Today Was Rough' After Dropping Off Her Eldest Daughter at USC

On Thursday, Vanessa Bryant shared a picture she took with her daughters while they were dropping of Natalia, 18, at USC.

The family is seen smiling in the picture, excited for Natalia’s freshman year at the University of Southern California.

Vanessa Bryant’s caption began with, “Today was rough. (This was before the tears came down).”

“Missing ✌?forever,” she continued, referring to her husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Giana who tragically passed away in a helicopter crash in 2020.

She concluded her post by saying, “I love you @nataliabryant BE EPIC and FIGHT ON.”

Natalia commented on her mom’s post saying, “I love you!!!”

In March, Vanessa shared a video on Instagram announcing Natalia’s acceptance into USC.

“Tears of joy. I’m SO happy for you Nani! I know daddy is so PROUD OF YOU. I am so PROUD OF YOU!! Your hard work and dedication was so worth it,” read her caption.

In the video, Natalia excitedly says, “I got in!” while jumping with excitement.

Earlier this month, Vanessa spoke to PEOPLE and told them how strong Natalia has been when it came to coping with the deaths of her father and sister.

“On top of her own grief, she has balanced her senior year of high school, applying to colleges, nurturing her sisters, and just recently signing her own modeling contract with IMG,” she told PEOPLE.
