Candace Cameron Bure recently responded to the viral Tik Tok video by JoJo Siwa, where the singer accused the Fuller House star of being the rudest celebrity she’s met.
“We had all the feeling it was all good and there’s no drama. That’s the tea.”
Bure shared in an interview with ET her memory of why Siwa thought she was the “rudest celebrity.” It happened at a red carpet event when Siwa was 11 years old and asked for Bure’s autograph. Unknown to Bure was how the experience of the singer meeting the actress gave a less than favorable impression.
Bure shared in her interview how she and Siwa resolved the issue, and it’s 3 reasons why Bure’s response was a healthier take on the social media challenge.
-
The Apology – “I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart, I didn’t take a picture with you and I was like, ah I feel crummy. JoJo I’m so sorry.”
-
The “No Drama” Approach – “We had all the feeling it was all good, and there’s no drama. That’s the tea.”
-
The Lesson – “To be mindful that no matter how many followers you have, you know — even a ten-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter. We all influence the people around us.”
How do you handle it when you feel someone has treated you poorly? Do you address it with the individual(s) and demand an apology or just leave it be? Share your thoughts @bsm_mag
