The list of the 2022 Oscar nominees has finally been announced, and many fans eagerly await the results.
One Oscar nominee many are talking about is Will Smith’s nomination for Actor in a Leading Role for his role as Richard Williams in ‘King Richard.’
To celebrate the nomination, Will Smith shared a video on Instagram captioned, “WOW!! 6 Oscar noms for #kingrichard.. that’s CRAZY. Honored to see this outpouring of love for our film 🙂 Proud of you Aunjanue, Zach, Pamela, Dixson, Beyoncé and our fantastic cast and crew. Great work all!”
Smith’s co-star, Aunjanue Ellis, is also in the running for an Oscar for Actress in a Supporting Role for her role as Oracene Price in “King Richard.”
Andrew Garfield is also in the running for Actor in a Leading Role for his role as Jonathan Larson in “TICK, TICK…BOOM!”
The “TICK, TICK…BOOM” Twitter account tweeted a message from Garfield to The Academy in which he said, “Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I would be given the chance to honor Jonathan Larson and his legacy of revolutionary art and community healing.”

Kristen Stewart was nominated for the Actress in a Leading Role for her portrayal of Princess Diana in the film “Spencer.”
Lin Manuel-Miranda is in the running for an Oscar for the Music (Original Song) category for his composition of “Dos Oruguitas” from the film “Encanto.”
If Miranda wins the Oscar he will become an EGOT, someone who has won an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award. Only 15 people hold the prestigious title.
Among those EGOTs is Rita Moreno, which Mirando said he admired her career during a recent interview with Univision.
Some of the films with high nominations include “West Side Story” which has 7 nominations, “Dune” which has 10 nominations, and “The Power of the Dog” which has 12 nominations.
The 94th Oscar Awards can be watched live on ABC on April 25th.
