Reese Witherspoon and Daughter Ava Phillippe Celebrate the End of 'Dry January'

Reese Witherspoon and her 22-year-old daughter Ava Phillippe recently shared a picture of them celebrating the end of “Dry January.”

Like many other celebrities and people, the mother-daughter duo decided to stay sober for the month of January.

“Dry January” is a month-long challenge or lifestyle change where people don’t drink any alcohol for the month of January. Many people participate in the challenge to see how alcohol affects their daily and social lives, while others use it to start their journey to sobriety.

Since February has begun, the pair shared a picture on Instagram where they can be seen raising a toast to celebrate the end of their dry January.

“Well, I guess dry January is done,” said Witherspoon in her caption, also tagging her daughter’s Instagram.

The caption is accompanied by a heart emoji and the champagne flute emoji, which went perfectly with their photo as they are both holding a champagne flute.

While some people left celebratory comments, many others couldn’t help but notice the duo’s uncanny resemblance.

Many fans and friends left Witherspoon comments saying, “Twins!” or, “Twinning!” since Ava looks so much like her mother.

This hasn’t been the first time the pair have been met with comments on their resemblance.

On August 2021, Ava shared a photo of her and her mother making margaritas which also received many comments regarding how much they look alike, and in nearly every photo Ava posts, comments about her resemblance to her mother can be found.
