Day-time talk show host Wendy Williams will not be returning to host her show for its 13th season.
It was announced on Tuesday, that Williams would be taking a break from hosting due to facing health issues.
In an Instagram post, the Wendy Show gave updates on what would be happening with her show since she was still not in good health.
“Wendy continues to be under medical supervision and meets with her medical team on a daily basis. She is making progress but is experiencing serious complications as a direct result of Graves’ Disease and her thyroid condition. It has been determined that more time is needed before she is able to return to her live hosting duties,” read part of the caption.
The post also said that beginning October 18, a series of guest hosts and panels would be taking over William’s hosting duties. The guests have not been announced yet.
The 13th season was originally set to premiere on September 20 but was pushed back to October 4 for health reasons, and now has a premiere date of October 18.
In September, a source told ET that Williams was “at home improving every day.”
Williams has been open about her struggles with her hyperthyroidism and Grave’s disease since her diagnosis.
This isn’t the first time she has taken a break from hosting. In May of 2020, she took a brief break due to Grave’s disease.
William’s audience and friends continue to wish her good health and eagerly await her return to her purple chair.
