Tina Knowles Lawson Says “Blue Ivy Helped Her to Prepare for Acting Debut”

Tina Knowles Lawson is making her acting debut in Disney’s The Proud Family: Louder And Prouder! and the Lifetime movie Wrath: A Seven Deadly Sins Story, where she plays mother to Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams.

The mother of Beyoncé and Solange joined Tamron Hall on a recent episode of the daytime talk show to discuss her new movie and the help she received from her little acting coach and granddaughter, Blue Ivy.

When Hall asked who she took the script to first, Ms. Tina responded, “We’re all so busy doing our own thing and this came along and it kind of surprised me because I’m so busy. nd nobody was available to help me. You know, my husband – an actor and an acting coach – was doing a movie. Kelly was doing a movie. So, I’m like ‘who am I going to get to help me?’ And Blue Ivy actually was the only person available who could help me!”
