The 14th annual Black Women in Hollywood Awards is almost here, and Laverne Cox will host this year’s show. The actress/producer celebrated the good news yesterday via Instagram. This year’s honorees include Zendaya, Michaela Cole, Cynthia Erivo, and many more. We also can expect a live performance from award-winning actress and singer, Andra Day.

Cox is known for her unbelievable strength and is inspiring women all over the world. She truly embodies this year’s theme of “Mastering Our Stories” and will join the roster of the show’s incredible hosts like Gabrielle Union, Kelly Rowland, Eve and Yvonne Orji, and more.

Before the madness starts, Storm Reid will host the virtual pre-show red carpet, where she will chat with guests about this year’s event.

The event will stream on Thursday, April 22, 2021, from 7 PM-10 PM EST on essencestudios.com and essence.com.
