Prayers for Los Angeles

Prayers are being offered for Los Angeles as Firefighters tirelessly battle the wildfires that have tragically affected Pacific Palisades, resulting in the loss of homes, businesses, and lives. So far, two lives have been lost, and over 1,000 structures have been burned.

Actor James Woods spoke with CNN about losing his renovated home before the wildfires. He was visibly emotional and often teared up as he recounted how he and his wife evacuated. He also helped his ninety-four-year-old neighbor, who has dementia, get to safety.

“He’d been left alone,” Woods said. “There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.”

Bure posted photos, while Pratt spoke about his parents losing their home. Whitley detailed the damage to her home’s exterior and the impact on air quality, all to raise awareness about the dangers posed by the wildfire. Additionally, actress Sheryl Lee Ralph used her Instagram account to share crucial evacuation information.

“LA, we will get through this ‼️ Important, we just updated the current shelters listing with the most recent information on the 3rd slide. Please start sharing this. If any updates arise when it comes to human and animal shelters, just let us know ❤️💛💚

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone affected by this tragic event, whether they are celebrities or not—every individual matters. While celebrities and public figures have a significant impact, we particularly want to acknowledge the brave firefighters who are tirelessly working to combat the aggressive fires. May they all return to their families unharmed. Please keep the city of Los Angeles in your prayers.
