On Tuesday, Netflix announced their latest animated project which, will be in collaboration with Archwell Productions.
Archwell Productions is a production company founded by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan.
The animated series titled “Pearl” will follow a 12-year-old girl who travels time and is “inspired by a variety of influential women from history.”
“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to overcome life’s daily challenges,” said the Duchess in a statement.
“I’m thrilled that Archewell Productions, partnered with the powerhouse platform of Netflix, and these incredible producers, will together bring you this new animated series, which celebrates extraordinary women throughout history,” she continued.
“Pearl” will be the first animated series produced under Archwell Productions and will be executively produced by Meghan Markle and David Furnish.
The production company was also picked up by Netflix for their show “Heart of Invictus,” which will be a docuseries that follows competitors competing in the Invictus Games.
