Carrie Underwood is making a comeback to American Idol

Carrie Underwood made an appearance on Good Morning America to talk about her comeback to American Idol as a judge, and to discuss her song collaboration.

Carrie Underwood, known for her hits like ‘Just as I Am,’ rose to fame after winning the fourth season of ‘American Idol’ in 2005. Her triumph on the show was the beginning of a highly successful music career, which led to GMA’s Lara Spencer asking about her journey as a judge, “What kind of judge do you think you will be, are you going to be the tough judge, the very soft judge?” Leaving the singer to respond.

“I do have a big problem I can’t lie I just can’t you can tell. I feel like I will be very honest, but hopefully, I can be very constructive.” She then joked “Just ask my kids I feel I am not too hard.”

Underwood’s duet with Papa Roach where the proceeds from the song in perpetuity go to a great cause shared her thoughts on the heart-touching song.

“It’s a cause that’s very near and dear to Papa Roach and to Jacoby Shaddix who is the main vocalist when they asked me to come to sing on this song, I loved the song, and I loved their cause, and they work a lot with the American foundation for suicide prevention and they want to help.”

It’s a beautifully titled song “Leave the Lights On”
