Bob Odenkirk is Stable After His On-Set Collapse

Actor Bob Odenkirk is in “stable condition” after collapsing on the set of “Better Call Saul.”

The 58-year-old actor was shooting the last season of the show in New Mexico when he suddenly collapsed and was rushed to the hospital for a “heart-related incident” on Tuesday.

TMZ first broke the news and states the actor was “not conscious during the early hours in the hospital, although he’s now lucid.”

Odenkirk plays the role of Saul Goodman on the AMC show “Better Call Saul” which serves as a prequel to his character on “Breaking Bad.”

When news of his collapse spread, the actor received an outpour of well wishes and concern from his “Breaking Bad” and “Better Call Saul” co-stars.

His son, Nate Odenkirk, posted on Twitter that his father was “going to be okay,” serving as an update to those who were concerned.

Yahoo Entertainment reported that they received a statement from Odenkirk’s rep that said, “We can confirm Bob is in stable condition after experiencing a heart related incident. He and his family would like to express gratitude for the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, as well as his cast, crew and producers who have stayed by his side. The Odenkirks would also like to thank everyone for the outpouring of well wishes and ask for their privacy at this time as Bob works on his recovery.”

The actor is now doing much better and is in recovery, but it is unclear how this will affect filming for the rest of the show’s season.
