The Johnson family is headed back to prime time. Black-ish has been renewed for a seventh season, and the debut date is to be determined. It will be interesting to see if or how the show will deal with the Coronavirus pandemic and the recent deaths of George Floyd and Ahmaud Arbery as potential storylines. The 30-minute comedy sitcom is known for tackling serious topic matters in the past like Black Lives Matter protest, natural hair care, and interracial dating and marital woes. 

Season 6 ended with Pops (Laurence Fishburne) and Ruby (Jenifer Lewis) sailing off into the sunset as they rekindle their dysfunctional love story, so what can fans expect to see in season 7 stay tuned in for the release date to find out.

ABC also renewed the Black-ish spinoff, mixed-ish. Grown-ish was previously renewed at Freeform.
