Anthony Anderson of “Black-ish” on ABC was announced as an Emmy nominee.
On Tuesday, nominees for the 73rd Emmy Awards were released by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and Anderson made the list.
The actor is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In a Comedy for his role on the ABC show “Black-ish.”
After the nominations were announced, Anderson shared a picture on Instagram with part of the caption saying, “Congratulations to my entire @blackishabc family of our #emmy nominations!”
Anderson has appeared on all 7 seasons of the show since 2014 and is receiving his 7th nomination for this category.
Other nominees for the category include Michael Douglas, William H. Macy, Jason Sudeikis, and Kenan Thompson.
Along with him, his co-star Tracee Ellis Ross was also nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role on “Black-ish” and the show itself was nominated for the Outstanding Comedy Series category.
