Brandy will reimagine the iconic ‘A Different World’ theme song when the Netflix sequel premieres in the fall. Showrunner Felicia Pride shared the news on her Instagram. In the clip, the singer and songwriter, also known as the Vocal Bible, is seen in the studio with Pride and Derryck Tank Thornton of Big Tank Music.

Brandy performing the reboot’s theme, which features an original beat and lyrics from previous versions sung by Phoebe Snow, Aretha Franklin, Boys II Men (featuring Terrance Forsythe), reminds fans of why she is called the Vocal Bible.
The actress and Broadway star first time singing a theme song was on her hit 90s show, Moesha.
