On Sunday, it was announced that Keyshia Cole’s biological mother, Frankie Lons had died.

Frankie Lons lost her life on her 61st birthday after a long battle with substance abuse and addiction.
The news was first made public by Elite Noel, Keyshia Cole’s sister, who wrote on social media, “Worse pain ever…. to see my mama in a body bag on her birthday!”
Cole’s brother, Sam, told TMZ that Noel had relapsed on her birthday and used drugs to celebrate and ultimately lead to her death.
In the past, Cole had shared a video of Noel asking for prayers as she was attempting to get sober and documented her mother’s journey to sobriety on multiple occasions. The singer opened up after the difficulties of watching her mother battle her addiction.
