Halle Berry Inspires Women To Dream Gracefully

Halle Berry, shared on Instagram, “I finally know what it feels like when you dare to dream and that dream comes true.” The Oscar-winning actress is talking about her new martial arts movie Bruised, where she not only stars in but also makes her directorial debut. And at 53, she’s showing us never put off living your dreams.

In an appearance on iHeartRadio in 2019, Berry says she is ‘defying all the rules’ when it comes to ageism and racism. “It’s just where I’m at right now and what my message is all about.” Berry not long ago suffered a slight injury on set but didn’t let it stop her from continuing the film.

The movie, in production, stars Berry as Jackie Justice, a disgraced MMA fighter, who reunites with her 6-year-old son. There she goes after reclaiming her role as a professional fighter and mother.

In the last decade, Berry seems to have embraced a more peaceful (self-loving) life. Once linked to athletes and actors that appeared to match her star status and outwardly beauty, the mother of two (if evident from her social media posts) enjoys a laid-back existence while still finding ways to connect with fans. Berry’s photos of home and work life capture intimate moments of reflection through self-care, fitness, and images of her greatest joys, her children.

Bruised is written by Michelle Rosenfarb. Film release to be announced.
