"The Talk" Eve Says Her First Time Voting Was the Obama Administration

Rapper and co-host of The Talk Eve shared on Tuesday’s show that “we didn’t grow up voting. I grew up in the projects.” Speaking with the other hosts, Carrie Ann Inaba, Sharon Osbourne, and Sheryl Underwood, Eve says, nobody in my family talked about politics.” Adding, “The generation before me was like there is no one that looks like me that can represent me.”

Her take on voting today? “It’s beautiful. It’s a prideful ‘adult’ feeling like you are in control.” Once you learn more about politics, you understand that it’s bigger than (not voting).

Eve admits she now votes more state level and not just in the presidential elections and that no matter what, “we need everyone’s voice. Everyone has to vote.

On Monday, Eve announced she is leaving the daytime talk show after four seasons naming her inability to travel for show tapings as one reason.
