Giannis, Thanasis, and Kostas Antetokounmpo became the first three brothers to win NBA Championships.
Giannis and Thanasis received their first rings after a big win with the Milwaukee Bucks and joined their brother Kostas who won a championship with the LA Lakers in 2020.
“I’m just happy — a lot of people was making jokes when Kostas won his championship with the Lakers before me and the dinner table was awkward a little bit because he had the ring before me. But now, me and Thanasis have a ring,” said Giannis in a post-game interview.

The 26-year-old scored 50 points, racked up rebounds, and made 5 blocks which led to the Bucks defeating the Suns. His great performance helped the Bucks bring home their first championship i 50 years.
The three brothers grew up in poverty in Greece.
They helped their parents sell DVDs and CDs in the streets of Athens, and when they weren’t working they were in Zografou playing basketball.
They’d spend many nights sleeping at the gym instead of risking a 5-mile walk late at night. Thanasis and Giannis even shared a pair of Kobe 4s when they began to play basketball.
“We didn’t have a lot of money. But we had a lot of happiness. So we wasn’t broke happiness-wise,” said Giannis on “60 Minutes” in 2018.
Giannis received his big break after someone uploaded a video of him playing in the gym in Zografou, leading to him becoming the 15th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft.
