Award-winning actress Taraji P. Henson signs a two-picture acting deal with Netflix. Along with acting, Henson will also produce both projects through her production company, TPH Entertainment. This announcement follows this past summer’s groundbreaking performance in Tyler Perry’s film, Straw, which marked her first lead role on the streaming platform. Straw premiered on Netflix on June 6, 2025.
In addition to Netflix, Henson has signed a multiyear first-look deal with Fox Entertainment Studios under the same production TPH Entertainment. Henson, along with Head of Development and Production at TPH Entertainment, Jamila Jordan-Theus, will develop unscripted projects in comedy, drama, and reality formats. Henson will serve as the executive producer for the projects and may star in select titles.
