“I don’t know what inspires my annual themes, but it’s fun for me,” Roemer said. Laughter followed her words. “After each gala, I start back again with a new one. Her theme for 2024, “Old Hollywood,” flowed through the luxurious space of her lavish home in The Woodlands, with the attendees understanding the assignment. Everyone looked the part, and the vibes were full of conversation, laughter, and a good time. Roemer, wearing a beautiful red gown with a big bow, was reminiscent of the Golden Era, and the philanthropist joked that though she didn’t know the exact designer because her stylist pulled the look, she loved what she was wearing. Roemer’s second look was a black floor-length gown with a sheer bodice. “I think it is very important to combine fashion and a worthy cause like the Make-A-Wish Foundation,” said Roemer,” before she fashionably exited our interview to entertain her many guests that included designers: Cesar Galindo, Jose Sanchez, Jessica Becerra, and Maribel Julcahuanca, who “had models fill the room with their one of a kind designs on the runway.” Ricky Davis, a well-known Frank Sinatra Impersonator, also performed throughout the night to fill the room with amazing vocals while attendees enjoyed lite bites and beverages.

Other Houston-based celebrities included Mrs. Texas 2024 Deb Arnold, Bo Porter, Tony Directs, and Travis Fitzpatrick who all walked the glamorous runway. Aside from BMW of The Woodlands, other sponsors included Mercedes-Benz of the Woodlands, Amaré, Mark Pharo Extraordinary Jewels, Nan Properties, and Bailey Rae Events.

We’re sure next year’s theme will be just as grand as this one and will continue to benefit worthy causes. With over $25,000 raised for the Make A Wish Foundation, the event was more than a huge success!
