Veteran actress Jamie Lee Curtis is being vocal about being against plastic surgery.
The 62-year-old actress, known for her roles in Disney’s “Freaky Friday” and the “Halloween” franchise, doesn’t agree with Hollywood’s new standard of beauty.
Curtis had work done in the past and said, “It didn’t work. It got me addicted to Vicodin. I’m 22 years sober now.”
“The current trend of fillers and procedures, and this obsession with filtering, and the things that we do to adjust our appearance on Zoom are wiping out generations of beauty,” said Curtis.
“Once you mess with your face, you can’t get it back,” she said.
In 2019, the actress opened up about her own surgery which came after a critique of a cameraman who called her eyes “too puffy.”
She said the critique led to what is known as “routine surgery” and that it caused her shame and embarrassment.
Other actresses like Julia Roberts and Halle Berry have also spoken out about being against plastic surgery and the effects it can have on young people trying to achieve unattainable beauty standards.
