India Arie may not be her hair, hence her hit song “I Am Not My Hair” from her third studio album, Testimony: Vol. 1, Life & Relationship (2006), but she is indeed a talented singer, songwriter, and guitarist. The soulful artist performed her hit Grammy-nominated tune “Steady Love” from her latest album, “Worthy” Monday, on Good Morning America.
Arie, who wore a black shirt accessorized with the word worthy, black bell bottom pants, and beautiful long twists adorned with hair shells gave an intimate performance that was inclusive of finger-snapping and slow hip swaying, all while being backed by the acoustic sounds of her musicians and background singers.
The Brown Skin, and Grammy award-winning singer, is bringing back old school R&B vibe with her latest single.
