"Girls Trip 2" Will Reunite the Cast in Ghana

Get ready for more of Queen Latifah, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Regina Hall, and Tiffany Haddish. The quadruple cast of ladies will reunite for Girls Trip 2 in Ghana.

The first Girls Trip, co-written by Tracy Oliver and Kenya Barris and directed by Malcolm D. Lee, was a box-office success. Filmed on a 16 million+ budget, “grossing 140 million worldwide,” the movie catapulted Haddish’s career, and moviegoers enjoyed the camaraderie of all four ladies on the big screen.

The storyline involves Queen Latifah, Pinkett-Smith, Hall, and Haddish traveling to West Africa for Afrochella, “an annual music and arts festival that attracts big-name artists from the region.” No film date has been released, but we’re sure it will be another fun-filled, laughable time with the original cast and their new adventures in the motherland.

Will Packer, who produced Girls Trip, is also on board for the sequel.
