Duane Martin of “L.A’s Finest” has signed a deal with Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Red Table Talk Productions.
Martin’s first two projects are titled “The Free Agent” and “Deal Detective,” where he will be making scripted and unscripted content for these two shows.
“The Free Agent” is said to be loosely based on Martin’s time as a sports agent and will follow a young up-and-coming agent starting his own company. Going on to represent five Hall of Fame athletes in varying sports, the agent goes through many obstacles to protect his clients and family.
The show “Deal Detective” will be a reality series in which Martin will partner with professional bargain hunters to help people facing financial struggles. The show will help the audience learn a thing or two on budgeting and finding the best deals to save some money.
Jada Pinkett-Smith’s Red Table Talk Productions just recently won an Emmy for Outstanding Informative Talk Show with the show “Red Table Talk,” so adding new shows under the production company seems to be their next big move.
“Jada is the brilliant creator and architect of the Red Table universe, and I’m thrilled we are working together. As we go forward with sharing part of my story, Jada has the unique perspective of having seen the journey unfold. I can’t think of a better partner,” said Martin in a recent interview.
Martin’s shows are some of the first major deals made for Smith’s production company.
