Kelly Rowland With Beyoncé Gives Rousing Speech To Thunderous Applause at Houston Campaign Rally

H-Town!! Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé walked hand in hand on stage at the Houston Campaign Rally Friday for Kamala Harris. Introduced by Tina Knowles, affectionally referred to as Mama Tina, after the mother of one of the world’s most famous stars spoke briefly. The Destiny’s Child bandmate’s roots are in the Bayou City. Beyoncé was born and raised there, and Rowland called the city home as a young girl upon joining the girl group in the early 90s. Rowland took to the mic first, followed by Beyoncé, Rowland, a natural at the podium, exciting the crowd with her energy. Both ladies give admiring and supportive looks toward each other at each turn. “The Renaissance” singer said to the thousands of people there, “I’m not here as a celebrity; I’m not here as a politician. I’m here as a mother.”

Rowland, in her signature bob look, wore a suit by Fear of God and a shirt and tie by Amiri, while Beyoncé kept her look classic, wearing a black blazer over black shorts. Her hair a honey blond, a break from the platinum color she’s worn from her Cowboy Carter music.

With “Freedom” Beyoncé’s landmark 2016 album “Lemonade,  as the anthem for Harris’ presidential campaign, where the singer formally endorsed the VP of the United States, both she and Rowland (signaled) its word meaning with Rowland speaking of unity, equality, and kindness and Beyoncé expressing her thoughts for her daughters in a future world, where they will live in— as young women.

H-Town! Stand up. Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and Kelendria Trene Rowland definitely were in the building.
