LeToya Luckett is married!

 

The former Destiny’s Child singer, 43, married entrepreneur  Taleo Coles on July 27 in a lavish private ceremony at the luxury Le Tesseraein venue in Houston, TX. witnessed by hundreds of their closest family and friends.

 

“Marriage was something we both wanted,” Luckett tells PEOPLE. “It means everything to have a partner who loves me and my kids deeply. This love feels like rest.”

 

Luckett and Coles first met through a mutual best friend before they started dating. After two years together, the entrepreneur proposed to the singer and actress in Sedona, Arizona, on March 10, 2024.

 

For the wedding ceremony, the couple exchanged vows in front of 200 guests, which included Beyoncé’s mom, Tina Knowles, Toya Johnson-Rushing, and rapper and Trill Burger owner Bun B.

“We started out with a guest count of 70 and that changed once we decided to wed in my hometown of Houston. We also knew with Taleo being the first grandchild of his family to get married, it would be tough to keep it at that number,” Luckett says. “While increasing the number, we still wanted it to feel intimate and cozy and I think we accomplished that with the layout and decor.”

Luckett looked absolutely stunning in a wedding dress by the Black designer Alonuko Bridal.

 

“I wanted to incorporate some Black girl bridal magic, so I went with two Black female designers for both my wedding dress and reception dresses,” and mentioned that her reception dress was designed by Ese Azenabor.

 

Rev. Devon Franklin officiated the wedding, and the couple personalized the occasion by writing their vows and reflecting on their love story.

 

The singer, actress, and Texas native, whose new movie ” I Thought My Husband’s Wife Was Dead” airs on Lifetime on August 3, Shares that her wedding ceremony to Coles was the perfect way to honor their years-long love story.

 

“I still can’t believe how peaceful the day was,” she tells PEOPLE. “Everything just flowed for the most part. This wedding was magical. You could feel genuine love in that room.”

 

“It was better than we ever could’ve imagined,” she added. “A dream come true!”

 

This is Luckett’s third marriage. She was previously married to author Rob Hill (Hillman) Sr. in 2016 and entrepreneur Tommicus Walker from 2017 to 2021, with whom she shares two children.
