Nick Cannon is looking into the positive aspects of his talk show The Nick Cannon Show cancellation after only one season.
“Dream come true” is how Cannon described the experience of hosting his own show. The actor and comedian added, “I want to expand and elevate. We ain’t going nowhere, but it’s about broadening my audience.”
Ever so gracious to the audience he calls “family,” Cannon thanked his viewers Thursday for tuning in and acknowledged that what he accomplished is not always easy, no matter how long you have been in the entertainment industry.
This is show business, and the biggest word is ‘business,'” he began (via Entertainment Tonight). “I show up each and every day, bright and early to give you a show, and I am also a businessman.”
Cannon says of his relationship with his audience, “We laugh together, we cry together, we pray together. I do what I can, and we let God do what I can’t.” Some of the more difficult moments included when the host announced the passing of his infant son in December of last year.
In light of the show’s ending, Cannon is committed to the remaining month of episodes.
“We still have more shows. This isn’t the last show. We have a month of shows that’s going to be on.” he shared. “This has been a blessing and dream come true. Thank you for letting me come into your homes.”
