Beloved Friends actress, Jennifer Aniston, will return to her sitcom roots as part of ABC’s Live in Front of a Studio Audience. It was announced that she would be playing Blair Warner, originally played by Lisa Whelchel, in the live re-staging of The Facts of Life.
Gabrielle Union of L.A.’s Finest will take on the role of Tootie Ramsey, Kathryn Hahn of WandaVision will join the cast as Jo Polniaczek, Allison Tolman of Fargo will play Natalie Green.
Ann Dowd, known from The Handmaid’s Tale, will be playing Eastland housemother, Mrs. Garrett. The original show featured Nancy McKeon, Mindy Cohn, Kim Fields, Charlotte Rae, and Whelchel.
The next installment of Live in Front of a Studio Audience will also feature reenactments of Diff’rent Strokes, the first Live in Front of a Studio Audience specials aired in May 2019. With live reenactments of All in the Family and The Jeffersons. In December 2019, the second installment followed, airing a new reenactment of All in the Family and a time-honored Good Times episode.
Live in Front of a Studio Audience: ‘The Facts of Life’ and ‘Diff’rent Strokes’” will air live Tuesday, Dec. 7 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
