A24 greenlit the documentary “Underrated” about basketball superstar, Steph Curry.
The film will recall Curry’s epic 2008 March Madness tournament run with the Davidson Wildcats.
The film will be produced under A24 and Curry’s Unanimous Media. It marks the first project where these companies collaborate on content focused on documentaries.
Jenelle Lindsy and Brian Ivie will lead the development for Unanimous Media.
Lindsay was promoted to executive VP in March and Ivie joined Unanimous Media as a creative producer in March. Lindsay joined Unanimous Media as VP of development in 2018.
Ivie has previously directed “Emanuel,” a documentary about the 2015 white supremacist attack on Emanuel A.M.E church.
“Underrated” will be directed by Proximity Media’s Ryan Coogler and Pete Nicks along with Unanimous Media’s Eric Peyton and Steph Curry.
The film will be fully produced and financed by A24 and will add to A24’s growing documentary roster.
