Jada Pinkett Smith surprised mom Jada Pinkett Smith with an early Mother’s Day gift. The 20-year-old got together Pinkett-Smith’s former metal band Wicked Wisdom on Wednesday’s Red Table Talk episode, where she reminisced about the impact the band had on her as a child.
“When I was I wanna say about 3 or 4, I went on tour with my mom and her band,”
“Wicked Wisdom was lit. This is the music I grew up around. My mother was Superwoman, she was a rock star, she was a warrior and a nurturer — all in one. So unapologetically badass.”
Willow says she is her mom’s “biggest fan” and shared with the RTT co-hosts mom and Adrienne Banfield (Gamy) how she wanted to “pay homage to her mom’s time in the band – because she showed me what womaning up really is about.”
To surprise Pinkett Smith, Willow joined the band performing her favorite tune from the group with the song “Bleed All Over Me.” An artist herself, Willow’s latest “pop-punk release, Transparent Soul, dropped last month. In an interview with Rolling Stone, she shares her love of rock music when she joined her mother on tour with the band as a child.
