We’re thinking of the Teyana Taylor’s song, “Made It” a song she released in 2000, where its theme included celebration of graduates, resilience, and Black excellence at a time when many young people needed the lyric affirmations most. It was Teyana’s way of encouraging a universal and unique class of young adults, embarking on their next in an unsure season of their lives due to the pandemic. Today, Teyana embodies the very song she created by scaling her award-winning acting career, springing forward from her personal life and focusing on her happiness while supporting others.
It seems everything about Teyana Taylor is intentional and it is why we give three reasons she is a winner despite her not taking home the Best Supporting Actress award at this year’s Oscars.
Appreciative Despite the unfavorable stories painted in recent media about Teyana’s behavior at the Oscars and post show (her high energy and the altercation with a male backstage, who reportedly shoved her), Teyana redirected the negativity with a narrative full of gratefulness and joyful reflection… in a recent post on her Instagram page. Beginning with the words… “Father God, in the name of Jesus! We give you all the glory 🙏🏾… my heart is so full, this has been a journey I will forever cherish 🥹”

“Girls just want to have fun” Too much is made out of people just being themselves. Some of the chatter reputed that… “She’s doing too much,” “Leonardo DiCaprio doesn’t seem too happy seated next to her,” “Why did she put director Paul Thomas Anderson in headlock”… down to Teyana being ridiculed for holding one of the producers Oscar when the whole cast assembled on stage to celebrate their “Best Picture” win for ‘One Battle After Another.’
Nothing to see here… is the take from the collage of photos shared by Teyana on Instagram. All it shows is an award-winning actress (2026 Golden Globe winner) having the best time herself and with the eventgoers. Dispelling clickbait rumors posed as articles or social media posts.

Cheerleader! Teyana cheered on all the winners at the 98th Academy Awards before and after she didn’t take home the win. Showing good awardsmanship (we just made that up), and literally jumping up and down for fellow contender, Amy Madigan, who won for Best Supporting Actress for Weapons. She also showed equal excitement when Michael B. Jordan won for Best Actor in a lead film (Sinners) and when her film (One Battle After Another) won for Best Picture.
