Will Smith is busy making movies. Take the third installment of Bad Boys franchise—”Bad Boys For Life,” “Aladdin” and his new role as Serena and Venus Williams’ father in the biopic “King Richard”.

After it was announced Smith will play patriarch, Richard Willams came the backlash. Many referenced colorism due to the fact the actor is of fair complexion.

“Colorism matters,” tweeted Clarence Hill Jr. “Love Will Smith but there are other black actors for this role.”

Lately, Smith film roles have caused a bit of controversy where color is concerned. When he debuted himself as a genie in the upcoming Disney film, Aladdin— he was criticized for being blue despite the original cartoon character has the same hue.
